STAGE WORK

I originally trained as a classical theatre actor, beginning with the Sheffield Youth Theatre in the '80s with director Meg Jepson, and then professionally at EAST 15 (1989-92) where I continued my love of Shakespeare (as the Duke in MEASURE FOR MEASURE, Oberon/Theseus in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM), Wilde, Tennessee Williams, Ibsen and musical theatre!

As a life-long horror fan, the darker roles of theatre always seemed to find me, such as in the harrowing WWII drama STALINGRAD for Dead Earnest Theatre (Sheffield Crucible Playhouse):

As a classic mad scientist human experimenter in REVENGE OF THE GRAND GUIGNOL (Courtyard Theatre) for writer/directors Stewart Pringle and Tom Richards:

As The Duke in Middleton's Jacobean classic THE REVENGER'S TRAGEDY, reimagined as a murderous circus family by James Tobias's Immersion Theatre:

And a lighter touch as Dr Chasuble in Immersion Theatre's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST:
